Missouri School Funding

Wayman

MISSOURI STATE (2010-3-12) Missouri's school board association is warning if federal funding does not come through, Missouri schools will have to reduce staff and increase class sizes.

The association's executive director Mike Reid points to the governor's proposed State budget, which is relying on $300 million coming from Washington. But governor Jay Nixon's State budget director Linda Luebbering concedes they don't know yet if that money is coming. The governor is expected to announce soon more cuts to various areas of Missouri's government.
