SAVANNAH, MO. (2010-3-3) The State senator from Savannah is being criticized for his investigation of E-Coli in the lake of the Ozarks.
But senator Brad Lager is defending his actions. Lager chairs the senate committee on the environment and has issued a report criticizing the department of natural resources' handling of E-Coli discovered in the lake. Lager suggests water quality oversight be transferred to the department of health. Democrat Timothy Green calls the inquiry a quote "Political Witch Hunt". Senator Green and his colleagues want more study done before any transfer of responsibility for water quality takes place.
