MARYVILLE, MO (2010-3-1) One of the 4 survivors of American Airlines flight 965 will be speaking tonight at Northwest Missouri State University.
Ramirez Johnson, a Northwest graduate, was on the 1995 flight that ended with the loss of 160 lives, including her parents. After her ordeal that included being stranded on a mountainside in Columbia, Johnson decided that she had been given a second chance. She now tells her story to inspire others about what is important in life and has received national awards for her work in improving other people's lives. Ramirez Johnson will be speaking tonight at 8PM in the Mary Linn auditorium of the Ron Houston center for the performing arts.
