ALBANY, MO. (2010-3-22) The Albany board of aldermen hires a waste company and raises the rates citizens are being charged.
The board of aldermen have approved a contract for solid waste collection with Veolia E-S Solid Waste Midwest. The board also approved increasing the monthly service charge for collection and disposal of solid wastes. The fee will go up $0.75 making the service charge $11.20 a month per household. The Albany board also passed an ordinance regulating possession and sale of "K-2" in the city limits. That's a substance that mimics the "High" you can get off of marijuana. That new ordinance is now in effect in Albany.
