University Pay

Holley

MARYVILLE, MO (2012-06-28)

The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents approved a 2 point 6 percent pay increase for all University employees during their meeting yesterday.

This marks the first pay increase for University employees in three years. The cost of living increase is the result of a third party study that recommended cost of living increases. University President Dr. John Jasinski says the increase comes at a time when the university has been making budget cuts, including personnel cuts.

Jasinski says the board tabled a market increase to bring the salaries of more than 70 employees to 90 percent of market level. He says he's hoping the market adjustments will be the next step for the board.
