Rehab House

St. Joseph Habitat for Humanity has completed their first Rehab House.

Usually, they build houses from the ground up for local families in need but Volunteer Coordinator, Rita Boyer says this house was already built and just needed some fixing up.

Boyer says they hope to have similar opportunities in the future. On Saturday, June 16th 8:30 to 10:30am the public is invited to see the rehab house which is located on 727 South 15th Street in St. Joseph. There will also be a homeowner class taking place during that time which will include tips on financial planning, lawncare and simple household fixes. On June 27th, at 11:30am there will be a blessing of the house, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to meet the new homeowners.
