No Hunger Summer

Mullens

ST. JOSEPH, MO (2012-06-18)

Second Harvest Community Food Bank in St. Joseph is starting a new summer feeding program.

No Hunger Summer starts today and runs through August 15th. Chief Operating Officer Tamara Grubb says No Hunger Summer was created to ensure children get meals they need over the summer, when their families need more help.

Second Harvest will offer free meals at two cafe sites, one at Bode Sports Complex and another at Woodson Chapel. Children under 18 can eat for free and adults eat for two dollars. Both sites will be open from 11:30-1, starting today and running though August 15th.
