Mound City Board Of Education Meeting

The Mound City Board of Education considers amending the 2011-2012 budget, has a Title 1 review and a curriculum revision at its latest meeting.

Superintendent of Mound City R-2 school district Ken Eaton says even with expenditures and getting a new phone system, they are still in the black.

Also on the agenda was the Title 1 annual review, which had good results.
Eaton says the board voted to incorporate an abstinence education curriculum into the Family & Consumer Sciences program for 7th through 9th grades and upper level high school students for the 2012-2013 school year.
