Airport Engineer

Holley

MARYVILLE, MO (2012-06-26)

The Maryville City Council has agreed to hire an engineering firm to address concerns at the Northwest Missouri Regional Airport.

During last night's City Council meeting, officials agreed to retain Jviation Incorporated of Jefferson City for projects within a 5 year period.  City Manager Greg McDanul says the Federal Aviation Administration and the Missouri Department of Transportation require the city hire a consulting engineer for any projects at the airport.

McDanul says he hopes work on the apron, runway and taxiway can be designed and ready for construction this spring. He hopes to have the work completed next summer or fall.
