Lewis and Clark Closes

BUCHANAN COUNTY, MO (2011-06-24)

Lewis and Clark Park in Buchanan county has closed because of Missouri River flooding.

The state park is near Rushville and Missouri officials closed it today. Staff at the park have spent this week removing equipment to prepare for the floodwaters. A spokesman with the Department of Natural Resources says they are trying to look at forecasts to figure out a timeframe of when Lewis and Clark can reopen.
