Future Forecast

Wayman

BROWNVILLE, NE (2011-06-27)

Even though there's sunshine above flood-ravaged counties in our region, it's the forecast in Montana and South Dakota this week that could spell more disaster here.

National Weather Service hydrologist Scott Watson says weather this week for us looks mostly hot and dry. But that's not the case in states north of us.

Missouri River flooding at Brownville and St. Joseph actually dropped last week because of several levee failures in Holt and Atchison counties. But the water releases upstream are expected to keep water high here through August.
