With the August 2nd debt ceiling limit deadline looming, both Missouri senators say they are deeply involved in coming to a resolution.

Republican Roy Blunt is flatly denying Republicans will agree to increased taxes, pointing out Democrats also decided not to when they had the majority in both houses.

Democrat Claire McCaskill is investigating the spending side of the debt equation holding a hearing today on military spending in Afghanistan.McCaskill adds she's also open to investigating reforming some federal entitlement programs like medicaid and other healthcare-related laws.
