BLYTHEDALE, MO (2011-06-22)
Law enforcement officers are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Blythedale yesterday.
The County Sheriff's Department received a call about 10:50 that the citizens bank of Blythedale had been robbed. Officers determined a lone male had entered the bank dressed in black with a dark colored scarf wrapped round his head and armed with a shotgun. The man demanded money from a teller and was given an undisclosed amount then fled the scene on foot. Shortly after law enforcers arrived a resident of Blythedale reported his vehicle stolen two blocks from the bank. That vehicle was later discovered abandoned and still running approximately three quarters of a mile from the bank. The suspect fled the area in a second unknown vehicle. If you have any information about the robbery or the whereabouts of the suspect contact the Harrison County Sheriff's Department or the Missouri Highway Patrol.
