Andrew county officials are watching river levels and now just waiting.

Officials say that sandbags and pumps are on hand and ready for action, if the county faces any levee breeches. Emergency manager Roger Lathan says property owners in the direct path of the river have been informed.

Latham says at 27 feet the Missouri River begins to back up into the Nodaway River which will cause flooding in Nodaway county. These projections are not including any rainfall we might see in the next few weeks.
