MARYVILLE, MO (2010-06-11) Summer may not have officially started, but you'd never know that looking at the wide variety of events planned for this weekend in our region.
Of course the 35th annual Glenn Miller Festival continues in Clarinda Iowa with concerts and activities running through Sunday evening.
In Maryville runners from across the nation will be competing in the 8th annual Maryville Marathon and Half Marathon.
That kicks off tomorrow morning at 6-30 at Donaldson Westside Park in Maryville.
Also in Maryville the New Nodaway Humane Society holds it's "Adopt-a-Pet" event at the Walgreens from 10 to 2.
Trenton's Green Hills Animal Shelter is also sponsoring an adoption day and flea market tomorrow from 9 to 2. That will be at the shelter building on Highway 6 just east of Trenton.
And in Lenox Iowa the Greg Spevak and the Sophisticated Swing Orchestra will be performing at the fundraising dance for the new Community Center tomorrow night from 7-30 until 11.
That event will be in the Lenox Legion Building.
