MARYVILLE, MO (2010-06-03) The unemployment rate in our region appears to be dropping.

The latest numbers out from the state show that mirrors the state-wide unemployment... now down a fraction from the previous month at 9-point-4 percent.

In Nodaway County unemployment has fallen nearly a point down to 5-point-1 percent.

In Buchanan that number went from 9 percent to now standing at 7-point-7 percent.

In Livingston County it's at 6-point-7 percent.

Other rates include Caldwell at 9 and a half percent, Daviess at 8-point-8, grundy at 7 even, Gentry at 5-point-7, linn at 7-point-8 percent, Mercer at 7-point-4 percent, Harrison at 6-point-8, putnam at 5-point-9, and Sullivan at 5-point-8 percent unemployment.
