Skin Cancer

Wayman

MARYVILLE, MO (2010-06-01) Now that the first official summer holiday is over... the outdoor season is in full swing.

That has health experts reminding us again about the dangers of sun exposure.

Elaine Siegfried (sig-freed) is a doctor at the Children's Medical Center in St. Louis and says short but intense sun exposure is the worst culprit in creating skin cancer later in life.

The face, ears, arms, and the top of your head are the most common areas for sun burns that could potentially turn into basal cell cancers years later.
