River Flooding

Farwell

Holt and Atchison Counties, MO (2010-06-24) The Missouri Department of Transportation is giving farmers in flood threatened areas a break.

Farmers and producers that have grain stored in areas threatened by flooding will have a chance to move their crop to a safer location.
Mo-Dot is helping by issuing a no cost overweight permit to allow for the movement of the grain.
The permit will allow producers to carry up to 10 percent over their licensed weight on Missouri highways.
However the permits will not allow producers with heavy loads to travel on Interstates.
The permits will last for seven days and cover multiple trips.
For more information on aquiring a permit contact the Missouri Department of Transportation.
