Marceline School Bond

Marceline, MO (2010-06-09) Governor Jay Nixon has announced that dozens of Missouri school districts will receive a combined total of nearly 150 million dollars.

The money is part of the qualified school construction bonds awarded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
One of those school districts is Marceline R-5 which will be receiving a bond totaling seven hundred thirty-eight thousand,three hundred four dollars.
The money was received through an application process.
Superintendent Gabe Edgar says that the money is already being put to good use.
Other projects include building an agriculture facility with plans beginning soon along with replacing the windows and doors at the Disney Elementary front entrance.
