St. Joseph, MO (2010-06-30) The St. Joseph Metropolitan Planning Organization has tapped two community leaders to lead the group.

The new chairman is Jerry Russell.

He's the former St. Joseph city council man and has helped with St. Joseph's 20 year long range transportation, bicycle and pedestrian masterplan, and other projects.

The vice chair is Savannah Mayor Billy Kretzer.

The St. Joseph Metropolitan Planning Organization is responsible for using federal funds in the local transportation planning in the St. Joseph area.
