MARYVILLE, MO (2010-06-17) Kansas City Power and Light earlier this month filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission for a 92-point-one million dollar increase in annual electric operating revenues.
The Missouri P-S-C has established a deadline of July first for those wishing to register their opposition to the K-C-P and L proposal. The commission based in Jefferson City has also scheduled formal hearings for the rate increase in January. If approved, Missouri residential customers could see a 15 dollar increase in their monthly bills. K-C-P and L serves approximately 271 thousand customers in 13 western Missouri counties.
