Holt County, MO (2010-06-28) Hundreds of acres underwater throughout North Missouri means major losses to this year's corn crop.
Crop Specialist Wayne Flannery is based in hard-hit Holt County.
He says if fields can lose water within 48 hours there's a chance corn could survive.
But he says at this point, even producers planning on replacing the crop with beans this week might be out of luck- and money.
Producers in Holt and Atchison counties have been especially hard-hit during the past two weeks as the Missouri River waters breached several levees and flooded other streams and rivers in Northwest Missouri.
