Savannah, MO (2010-06-07) Do you remember the barnstorming baseball teams of the 19-30's?
Community teams from Union Star and Whitesville were part of a rich history of true American baseball with odd rules by today's standards- and even costumes.
It will all be featured in a program this Thursday at the Andrew County Museum.
Called "Yes They Did Have Fun: baseball's muffins, wolf chasers, and barnstormers".... Museum Director Glenn Unminowicz (you-men-uh-witz)
has spent 20 years researching the true national pastime.
He says he's hoping for a true discussion.
Thursday's program on classic baseball will be at the Andrew County Museum in Savannah.
It starts at 7 that evening.
The complete interview previewing the program will be heard Thursday morning at 11-06 here on KXCV-KRNW.
