Missouri (2009-06-30) A shortened work week plus the Fourth of July holiday means a lot of travel.

But it also means far-away highway work zones you may not normally think about when you're at home.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has a list of 10 major construction zones throughout the state.

This includes Highway 36 from Macon to Chillicothe, where 4 re-surfacing projects are ongoing as well as 21 bridge rehabilitations.

Mo-Dot Director Pete Rahn ("ron") says another slow-down is in Kansas City.
