St. Joe--Kansas City Power and Light

St. Joesph, MO (2009-06-17) St. Joseph and some surrounding communities had a power outage around 10:00 this morning.

Matt Dougherty (door-a-tee), District Manager of Kansas

City Power and Light, reports power was back in service just

ninety minutes after the transmission system shut down.

Causes of the outage came as a result of two system

sections shutting down simultaneously. One was caused by

routine maintenance and the other by a tree.
