Smith Named to Board

Trenton, MO (2009-06-15) A Trenton leader is picked by the Governor to serve on an oversight committee regarding child abuse.

Catheryn Smith will serve on the state's Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board.

She'll help provide an independent review of child abuse cases if the accused files a challenge to the decision of the Division of Family Services.

Smith is the Mayor of Trenton and has previously served as Director of the North Central Missouri Children's Advocacy Center and as a Juvenile Officer.

She's also past president and a member of the Probation and Parole Citizen's Advisory Board.
