MARYVILLE, MO (2009-06-01) Enrollment numbers are out for the summer sessions at Northwest Missouri State.
Officials on campus say there are 2 thousand thirty undergraduate students registered for the summer.
That's a three and a half percent increase compared to this time last year.
It's also above the University's plan to increase student enrollment .
Northwest officials say it's the 2nd and 3rd year college students who are becoming more likely to take advantage of the summer classes.
The University in Maryville is on a trimester system as opposed to most colleges with a semester system, creating a wide-range of class offerings for students to take during the summer.
