MARYVILLE, MO (2009-06-17) A new partnership is being formed in North Missouri- one that will train future technicians to help the ever-expanding wind farms in our region.
At last night's Maryville R-2 school board meeting, Superintendent Vickie Miller told board members they're working on offering adult education classes as early as this August to begin training the wind turbine climbers, technicians, and designers- in partnership with other schools.
Miller calls the August start-up for the classes an "ambitious" timeline, but adds she believes now is the time to start.
