MARYVILLE, MO (2009-06-15) A federal grant gives a boost to the multi-use trail system in Maryville.
Mo-Dot is awarding 201 thousand dollars for the section of trail to be built from Walnut Street to St. Gregory's school.
The money comes from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, or "ARA".
Maryville City Manager Matt LaCurf says he's pleased the city landed the grant.
Bids for that section of the city-wide trail system will go out this December, with construction starting next spring.
