Northwest, MO (2009-06-22) State regulators move a step closer to raising natural gas bills for North Missourians.
The Public Service Commission will hear public comment on the request by Empire District Gas for a rate increase.
The natural gas provider to communities throughout Northwest Missouri wants state approval to increase rates by just under 5 dollars a month for the average residential customer.
That would increase Empire's revenues by nearly 3 million dollars a year.
State regulators are asking customers or anyone with an interest in the request to file comments with the Public Service Commission by July 2nd.
