Community Hospital grant

Fairfax, MO (2009-06-16) The Critical Access Hospital serving Atchison County gets a 15 million dollar boost.

That announcement from Senator Claire McCaskill's office, which says the Community Hospital of Fairfax is guranteed the 15 million dollar loan through a federal

U-S-D-A Rural Development program.

The 15 million dollars is helping in the new construction and expansion of the hospital, including a new outpatient clinic and therapy spaces.

The non-profit hospital also employs more than a hundred people in the Fairfax area.
