Clarinda, Ia. (2009-06-04) The town of Clarinda, Iowa will celebrate 25 years of hope tomorrow evening as "Relay for Life" kicks off at 5:45 in the town square.
The evening's events pull together members of the community, cancer survivors and their families for one common cause - finding a cure.
Stacey Harvey with Clarinda Relay for Life says the evening, which centers around a six hour "walk for the cure" is a very moving experience for all involved.
The evening begins with a flag presentation at 5:45, and the survivor's lap begins at 6. While participants are walking around the square, members of the community can enjoy entertainment by singing and dancing groups, children's activities, and a meal served by the Cattlemen's Association.
