MARYVILLE, MO (2009-06-10) A new reusable materials plant is soon to open in Maryville.
Carbolytic Materials Company (cmc) will bring a new facility to Maryville that includes production space for the company as well as leasing space for a research and development laboratory in the University's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The manufacturing facility will allow CMC to process significant volumes of tire shred in order to produce a carbon black replacement material. This carbon black can be used in vehicle, agricultural, construction and industrial rubber applications.
Vice President of Operations, Mark Marschall, says by recycling old materials they can make new materials without filling a land fill.
CMCwill create about thirty-two jobs in Maryville and plans to open in July.
