Brookfield, MO (2009-06-19) The Brookfield School Board votes to not change the name of the Career Center.

At this week's meeting the school board proposed possible name changes for the Brookfield Area Career Center - the District's Vocational School.

Superintendent Doctor Paul Barger says a name change was a possibility as an attempt to interest more area schools.

The school board also got an update on the elementary gymnasium and locker room renovations and discussed a proposal for the 2009-2010 budget.

Barger says one of the biggest budget issues is declining enrollment which will determine state aid.
