MARYVILLE, MO (2009-06-30) Northwest Missouri State holds a blood drive later this week in honor of one of their staff.
Office of University Advancement worker at Northwest, Anna Summa (sum-ah) was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.
Polly Howard, a co-worker of Summa's in the Office of Advancement says the idea for a drive in Anna's honor came when the Community Blood Center last visited campus.
Howard says though the turnout will not be as great as during a regular trimester, the need for blood is immense.
The blood drive in honor of Anna Summa will be Thursday from 11 until 3 in the Tower View room on the third floor of the Student Union on the Northwest campus.
