Albany, MO (2009-06-19) The Albany School Board takes care of business by approving their budget and amending the sick leave and retirement programs.

On Wednesday the Albany Board of Education approved their tight budget in time to make the State's submition deadline.
Bryan Prewitt, Albany R-3 Superintendent, believes with the current economic situation the District's budget will remain tight for at least the next few years.
Prewitt is pleased to alter the sick leave and retirement programs to make the district more attractive to potential teachers.
Also at the meeting, Prewitt discussed being contacted by private contractors interested in servicing the district's building's.
