Albany Budget

Albany, MO (2009-06-26) The Albany Board of Aldermen met this week. The big item on the agenda was acceptance of the 2009-2010 fiscal year budget.

City Administrator Derek Brown says forming a budget is always tough, but the city is ready to move into the next year and tackle the issues ahead.

Brown adds this year the city's budget came in at just over five-and-a-half million dollars. That's about eight hundred thousand dollars less than last year, when Albany took on some large capital projects, like the city's new water tower.
