Missouri's Attorney General is investigating reports of price gouging of water well drillings in northwest Missouri.
On July 23rd Governor Jay Nixon declared Missouri in a state of emergency- providing seven million dollars from the state soil and water reserve fund. Koster is reminding businesses and consumers that price gouging in a declared disaster is illegal under Missouri law. Koster tells KXCV news that everyone is in this drought together.
Koster urges anyone who suspects price gouging in any service or product related to the drought to contact his Consumer Protection Hotline at 800-392-8222 or to file a consumer complaint online at "www.ago.mo.gov."© Copyright, KXCV
