PRINCETON, MO (2012-07-19)
Operation Panda is a non-profit organization that was created in 2010 to help raise money for wounded EOD Warriors.
EOD or Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians serve with the Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force and are responsible for disarming and disposing of a variety of Improvised Explosive Devices. A local Princeton, Missouri man, Adam DeMoss, was badly injured in Afghanistan while disarming a bomb. After his recovery, he looked for a way that he could help give back to other EOD soldiers and Operation Panda was created. Chamber of Commerce director Donna Herdrich says the name is based on a nickname DeMoss picked up in Afghanistan.
