MARYVILLE, MO (2012-07-18)
The Maryville Board of Education meets this evening.
The board will be discussing whether Maryville R-two should break from the ACES alternative school in the 2013-14 school year. Currently, the district is the financial agent of the program. Next year, there will be no grant money to support the program, which serves 21 school districts. The Maryville board will consider starting its own alternative school beginning in the 2013-14 school year. Also during tonight's meeting, board members will consider contracts for improvements to the high school driveway and sidewalk and bids for this year's Building Trades house. The school board meets this evening at 7:30 at the district office in Maryville.
