Livestock Drought

Campbell

MO (2012-07-19)

The heat continues and the drought is affecting livestock in Missouri.

Missouri Extension Livestock specialist, Shawn Deering, says with the lack of rain this year, livestock production is falling short.

According to Deering, many crops in the area, including corn and beans are not producing this year. He adds the drought is causing some problems with the animals, which are often overlooked. The temperatures will continue to rise over the coming week, with a heat advisory in affect once again. No rain is in the immediate forecast.
