A weekend Microburst does substantial damage to a northwest Missouri seed company.
On Saturday a microbust produced winds strong enough to damage facilities at King City Seed company in King City, Missouri. A microburst is a small, intense downdraft that descends to the ground for 5 to 15 minutes producing damaging winds gusting upward of 100 miles per hour. King City Seed Company Agronomist Jennifer Hast says the north building took the brunt of the microburst.
Hast says clean up efforts will be a timely process.Hast adds Saturday's microburst over King City lasted approximately 11 minutes. No other substantial structure damage has been reported from the microburst.© Copyright, KXCV
