Grady

MO (2012-07-02)

Several open burn bans and firework bans have been implemented just as the Independence Day holiday arrives.

Display shows in Cameron and Chillicothe have been cancelled due to the dry and hot conditions. Livingston County has banned all open burning and fireworks- Harrison county banning open burning and fireworks for individual citizens but allowing for towns to put on their displays as long as emergency fire officials are on site- such as Bethany. Many area towns including Maryville St. Joseph and Stanberry do not allow residents to shoot fireworks in city limits but their shows are still scheduled to take place. The city of Albany not yet implementing any restrictions on fireworks being fired over the holiday at the time of contact.
