Fireman Phil talks about Fire

With dry conditions continuing across the state, the Department of Public Safety is urging people to be careful.

Maryville Public Safety Fire Division Lieutenant, Phil Rickabaugh says it is very dry and conditions are just right for a fire to spread through something as small as a cigarette butt.

Rickabaugh says there is a burn ban in effect for the City of Maryville and so far, community members have done well taking precautions and the fire department has not had to respond to any calls regarding fires due to dry conditions.
