WASHINGTON, MO (2012-07-23)
Farmers are keeping an eye on Washington to see if there will be any movement on a new Farm Bill soon.
Missouri U.S. Senator Roy Blunt says recently there was some work done on the bill in a senate committee. The senator would like to see the House improve and pass the Farm Bill. He would like to see a final bill before September 30th. Senator Blunt says if a final farm bill is not approved by that date, the only option is to extend the current bill.
Senator Blunt adds lawmakers have plenty of time to pass a Farm Bill before the September 30th deadline.© Copyright, KXCV
