MARYVILLE, MO (2012-07-18)

A Northwest Missouri farmer was seriously injured after his John Deere farm tractor was struck by a 2005 International Semi-tractor trailer on U-S 71 about 10 miles south of Maryville yesterday morning.

The highway patrol says David Snow, driver of the semi-tractor trailer, topped a hillcrest near Route M and struck Edward Lager, driver of the John Deere farm tractor in the rear. Lager was taken by Life Net helicopter to Heartland Regional Medical Center. Snow was wearing a seatbelt and suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
