ANDREW COUNTY, MO (2012-07-18)
An Alabama driver suffered serious injuries early this morning after crashing into a highway sign on I-29, 10 miles north of St. Joseph.
The Missouri highway patrol officials say Charles Taliaferro was the driver of the 2002 Chevy. He traveled off the east side of the road after over correcting and striking the highway sign. The car flipped and landed on its top, causing Taliaferro to be ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Heartland Hospital by ambulance. Passenger, Dorothy Stanton was wearing a seatbelt. She suffered minor injuries.
