This weekend, Atchison, Kansas is hosting the annual Amelia Earhart festival to celebrate the life of the famous female aviatrix.

The festival kicks off tomorrow at Warnock Lake with an outdoor concert featuring some of country music's upcoming stars like Chris Young. Amelia Earhart Museum spokesperson, Louise Hoodray, says the real festival begins with the events on Saturday.

Hoodray adds this year marks the 75th anniversary since Earhart's disappearance. The festival will be held this tomorrow and Saturday.
