Princeton FFA Sacrifice

Wayman

PRINCETON, MO (2011-07-08)

The Princeton High School's future farmers of America Chapter foregoes a $1,500 prize to give it to Joplin Tornado victims.

The students learned they won a state-wide contest just 3 days before the devastating tornado hit Joplin. Princeton FFA advisor Bryan Williams says instead of using the money for themselves, the 60 member chapter has decided to donate it to the Joplin High School's FFA Chapter.

The Joplin FFA Chapter is also accepting donations from the public to help rebuild the program.
