A company lands hundreds of thousands of dollar in loans to create jobs in Ellsworth, Kansas.
Rolling Hills Electric Cooperative is being awarded $740,000 through a utility company loan from the USDA. The loan is going to construct and equip a new facility for Carrico Implement Company in Ellsworth. That company has started dirt work on a new John Deer implement building that will provide parts, service and sales at the new store. Completion is scheduled for May. The money is part of a 12 million dollar package the USDA is distributing in 11 states to try and create jobs and upgrade public infrastructure.
